At Pressed4Time we use biodegradable, health-friendly, non-toxic detergents instead of the toxic and potentially carcinogenic PERC used by traditional dry cleaners.
Anything with the dry clean label can be wet cleaned. Even better, the gentler process results in a brighter, fresher, softer cleaner garment. We are the only Dry Cleaners on the west coast that provides 2 different types of alternative dry cleaning.
Wet Cleaning & Hydrocarbon
Our specialists hand-treat fabrics with expert use of more natural pre-spotting products and then clean garments with water and biodegradable detergents in our specialist machines. This means that the water used ends up harmless as opposed to toxic, and is heated on demand which reduces energy usage. Wet cleaning machines work at much lower temperatures than traditional dry cleaning, so that’s much more gentle on fibres. They calculate individual cycles for each type of fabric or garment type (be it wool, cashmere, silk, lace, etc). Essentially, wet cleaning or hydro carbon combines artisan care with expert tech, and provides a much higher quality outcome. The process leaves garments softer, brighter and fresher.
These processes also kill viruses and bacteria.

Press Only
Press-only (also called ironing-only or steam-only) is a service available to all garments shirts dresses suits etc and also ironing of bed linen.
After your laundry is pressed we provide additional steps to ensure your clothes are fully sanitised with the use of our ozone cabinet.

Shirt Pick Up & Delivery
We individually pre-spot all shirts to treat any stains and identify any particular requirements of the shirt. We focus on careful treatment of collars and cuffs, and launder your shirts with the highest quality eco friendly detergents.
Once ready, we hand finish press or iron each shirt by hand to the highest standard.
We normally return shirts on hangers, but also provide a folded shirt service, which is extremely popular with our travelling customers.
We also offer Ironing service for shirts.
Home pick up and delivery is of course available for our shirt service.

Why should I have my wedding dress / communion dresses / Christening gowns cleaned and preserved?
- Over time, stains and age can discolour fabric.
- Food stains can attract insects.
- Sugary stains created by spilt alcohol and soft drinks may dry clear but over a period
of time can turn brown and if left untreated become impossible to remove.
- Perspiration stains and body oils can oxidise and turn yellow.
- Exposure to light can not only discolour but damage and weaken the material.
What happens to my Wedding Dress & Communion dress?
On Arrival, all bridal gowns undergo a detailed examination to classify all stains and soiling. This is to ensure all stains are treated correctly. The most advanced processes are then used to gently clean and preserve the bridal gown, at every step in the process your wedding dress is inspected by a highly trained preserver.
Once the bridal gown has been completely treated and has received a final inspection, it is then passed on to the specialised pressing room. Here the wedding dress is traditionally pressed by hand, with each layer and fold receiving the same careful attention.
On completion of the preservation process your wedding dress is then carefully layered and packed. Special care is taken to shape the sleeves and bodice with acid free paper., to ensure the safe keeping and to prolong the life of your bridal gown.

Laundry Wash,
Dry & Fold
With Wash & Fold we wash your garments using eco-friendly detergents, tumble dry, then fold them with care (no pressing though). We know you’d rather be living life than doing laundry…
Here’s what you need to know to start using this service:
We sort your items into ‘lights’ and ‘darks’
We wash whites together with lights, and colours together with darks. We charge by the kilo instead of individually ‘cleaning’ items. Please do not put any delicates (silks, dry cleaning items, cashmeres, linens or leathers) or alterations into your laundry bag!
We wash all items at 30°C unless requested otherwise, We tumble dry all items, so please remove any items from your bag that cannot be tumble dried. Please note that viscose linen and cashmere items particularly dislike the tumble drier. Also all items labelled dry clean should not be placed into laundry bags.
We offer a professional cleaning and laundering service for duvets and pillows, duvet and pillow covers, bedspreads, as well as feather filled mattress toppers. In fact, we can deep clean all kinds of fabrics and materials - whether polyester, feather, down, wool or silk filled.
After your laundry is washed and dried we provide additional steps to ensure your clothes are fully sanitised with the use of our ozone cabinet.
Rug Doctor Rental
Rug Doctor helps your carpet appear as good as new. Carpet pile can be really difficult to maintain and no matter how often you vacuum, It never seems to look as good as it used to. This is because carpet fibres trap dirt, which, in turn, causes the pile to rub against it and this friction causes it to wear it out making its appearance look tired and lifeless. When you clean your carpet with a Rug Doctor, not only will you get a deep down clean but you will also refresh and restore the carpet fibres - making the pile look and feel like new again!
